And I have a long weekend!
And it's only 700 words!
And...I'm all out of excuses. :]
Kind of a quiet, non-exciting, pretty ordinary day. Had class this morning and, as usual, found it fascinating! I'm learning so much about Britain that I never knew before (class systems, education, etc). After that, one of my flatmates and I went back to the store to pick up a few more things, so now I am REALLY set in terms of food! Which is good!
Major milestone today (well, ok...major for me): I did my first load of laundry here!!! And I actually had to pay for it. Which is a foreign concept for me even in the states...you can thank Berea and their free laundry services for that! But anywho...it was a rousing success; nothing is ruined and everything smells nice. Too bad it cost me three pounds...guess I should start saving my change!
But the highlight of today was this afternoon: I came back into my suite after class and food shopping, and noticed that the cleaning lady had come and proceeded to not only make my bed beautifully and take out my trash, but she neatly placed Ashley in the middle of my bed with my open bible as if she were reading it! Absolutely. Darling. It totally made my day!!! :) I'm still smiling about it!
Not sure what to do now...guess I'll get something to eat and do some more research for this essay. P.S. I checked the stats of this blog and noticed someone in ALASKA is reading!!!! Whoever you are, you are officially awesome. But so are all of you other fantabulous readers, too! Cheers! <3
